Milen Mehari, aka Mili, aka MBM is a proud native of Keren, Eritrea. She is a senior at the University of Mary Washington, studying Women and Gender Studies, English, and Digital Studies. Milen is currently partnering with the UMW James Farmer Multicultural Center in a yearlong student activism and engagement project entitled “This Is America.” Last year Milen worked with UMW’s Digital Knowledge Center as a Domain Fellow. She has also worked with the Institute For Policy Studies as a Next Leader Intern. Milen loves storytelling, the moments wherein folks find humanity in one another’s experiences. In the future she hopes to continue to bring love and kindness to the fight for Eritrean liberation.
